Although I didn't have a lot of time to do much photography, but here are a couple of images that I made. See if you can recognize some of the compositional guidelines that we went over like; dividing your frame up into thirds (vertically and horizontally), fitting your subject into better compositional format (vertical vs. horizontal), subject "facing" into the frame, use of symmetry.
